Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as a subject matter expert to bridge tax and accounting for complex-tier members, ensuring books are optimized for successful tax delivery.
  • •Review year-round financial activity and manage ongoing tax and bookkeeping delivery, including books-to-tax implications of business decisions.
  • •Support and grow the team of bookkeepers and tax staff through mentoring, feedback, and escalation handling.
  • •Resolve escalations for less-complex members that cross into complex-tier territory, making root-cause decisions on one-off vs larger needs.
  • •Review bookkeeping and federal/state returns (e.g., Form 1040, 1120-S, 1065 and related schedules) and serve as the in-house technical expert for advanced topics such as multi-state apportionment and nexus.

Key Requirements

  • •Active CPA, EA, or JD in the state of residency.
  • •5+ years scaling and bridging bookkeeping and tax operations in a complex, high-volume environment.
  • •Technical proficiency in complex bookkeeping and multi-jurisdictional tax preparation (including 1040 and 1120-S).
  • •Hands-on experience managing large client portfolios and continuous delivery workflows.
  • •Comfort using tools such as Google Workspace and Slack, plus tax research/prep and issue documentation tools (e.g., CCH, GoSystems, Jira, Confluence).
