Key Responsibilities

  • •Apply software architecture principles to DJAS design work, including microservices, event-driven patterns, distributed systems, API-first design, and DDD.
  • •Lead architecture design sessions and design reviews by challenging assumptions, surfacing tradeoffs, and ensuring NFRs (performance, reliability, scalability, observability, security) are addressed from the start.
  • •Create high-quality architecture artifacts such as solution designs, ADRs, integration specifications, and architecture standards.
  • •Define architecture governance practices (what qualifies as “good enough to ship”), codify standards, and evaluate/adopt modern architecture patterns and methodologies.
  • •Integrate AI-augmented engineering practices safely and observably, design for operational excellence (observability-first, chaos readiness, runbook-aligned failure handling), and mentor architects/engineers while partnering with cloud and security architects to cover cross-cutting concerns.
