Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the end-to-end product data pipeline for ingestion (feeds and plugins), ML enrichment, moderation, and publication with SLAs for freshness, coverage, and quality.
  • •Lead the ML roadmap for catalogue intelligence, including category tree and attribute coverage, translation quality, ML-assisted moderation, item embeddings, and recommendations.
  • •Run the LLM-based enrichment pipeline and related systems (categorisation, attribute extraction, translation), plus moderation and evaluation workflows.
  • •Lead large cross-team projects, drive delivery to production, and define/report OKRs for catalogue quality and personalisation.
  • •Hire, evaluate, and motivate team members; manage technical debt and incident handling across ML and backend services.

Key Requirements

  • •6+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ years building production ML systems at scale (NLP/LLM applications, embeddings, or classification).
  • •2+ years as an Engineering Manager or ML Team Lead in a fast-growing e-commerce, marketplace, or fintech company.
  • •Hands-on experience shipping LLM-based products, including prompt/pipeline design, fine-tuning, evaluation, and cost/latency control.
  • •Experience building and operating large-scale data and ML pipelines (batch and streaming) with observability, reproducibility, and reliability.
  • •Comfort reviewing Go and Python services and working with distributed systems.
