Job Summary

Provide strategic leadership and oversight for occupational health and medical services across remote industrial and mining operations. Own occupational health strategy, medical surveillance, fitness-for-duty and return-to-work assessments, and health risk management. Ensure clinical governance and quality through audits and protocols, lead emergency medical preparedness, and manage healthcare service providers and contracts across multiple clinic locations while partnering with Operations, HR, HSE, and senior management.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as the company Occupational Health Advisor and subject matter expert to ensure safe job performance against physical, psychological, and cognitive requirements.
•Develop and implement occupational health programs, including medical surveillance and fitness-for-duty/return-to-work assessments (pre-employment, periodic, exit).
•Lead health risk management activities, including health risk assessments, workplace inspections, hazard identification, incident/illness investigations, and review of health-related incidents.
•Oversee clinical governance and quality: audit clinics, establish medical protocols and treatment guidelines, and monitor clinical performance indicators for continuous improvement.
•Develop and maintain emergency medical response plans and manage outsourced healthcare service providers and contracts (KPIs/SLAs, staffing, audits, budgets, corrective actions).

Key Requirements

•Doctoral-level qualification (PhD/DrPH or equivalent) in occupational/industrial/environmental medicine or public health with an occupational health concentration.
•Valid Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) registration and appropriate professional classification (consultant or senior specialist where applicable).
•Minimum 8 years post-qualification experience in occupational health/medicine, industrial medicine, public health, or corporate medical services, preferably with senior governance responsibilities.
•Minimum 5 years direct exposure to high-risk heavy industries (e.g., mining, mineral processing, oil & gas, petrochemical, smelting, manufacturing) is strongly preferred.
•Proven experience designing/governing/auditing exposure-based medical surveillance programs and supporting remote emergency medical preparedness for industrial settings.
