Key Responsibilities

  • •Own key architectural decisions for Canva’s hybrid mobile platform across React Native, iOS, and Android, defining what’s shared vs. native and how layers interact.
  • •Turn the architecture into shipped code early on, establishing foundations for performance, reliability, and observability.
  • •Deliver a React Native surface in production within six months, supported by stable capabilities and platform primitives.
  • •Lead senior engineers through the migration, serving as the architectural anchor for Staff and Senior engineers.
  • •Scale platform adoption across Canva by working with major product teams, establishing trusted patterns and acting as a technical voice for mobile architecture.
