Key Responsibilities

  • •Feature development: delivering high-quality UI features in a fast-paced environment, applying low-level APIs, shader creation for dynamic effects, and custom rendering systems.
  • •Platform development: contributing to cross-company components including navigation and deeplinks, media encoding/decoding/playback, and performance tooling.
  • •Roadmap creation and ideation: participating in roadmap processes and providing tradeoff insights from product and engineering perspectives.
  • •Knowledge sharing: staying up-to-date with trends, attending conferences, engaging with online communities, and sharing insights internally.
  • •Owning your scope: monitoring analytics and managing system crashes, proactively addressing issues and triaging bug fixes.

Key Requirements

  • •Professional experience in native Android development using Kotlin or Java.
  • •Good understanding of computer systems fundamentals (Program execution, Linking, Multithreading, Memory Management, Processes and File Systems etc.).
  • •Professional experience in low-level languages like C or C++ is a significant advantage!
  • •Passion and experience building consumer-facing products - we’d love to hear about apps you've made!
  • •Working on platform - experience building SDK’s/Libraries (building for others).
