Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan and contribute to geotechnical field investigations (boreholes, test pits, in-situ testing) to support transportation, municipal, industrial, and environmental projects
  • •Interpret soil, rock, and groundwater conditions and translate findings into clear, practical design recommendations
  • •Develop geotechnical design solutions for foundations, earthworks, slopes, retaining structures, and buried infrastructure
  • •Prepare concise, data-driven technical memoranda and reports informing client decisions on scope, schedule, and investment
  • •Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (environmental, structural, transportation, water, etc.) to integrate ground engineering into larger project designs

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in civil, geological, or geotechnical engineering; registered or eligible to register as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with a Canadian engineering association
  • •Valid Canadian driver’s license with access to a vehicle and a clean Driver’s Abstract
  • •Hands-on geotechnical or ground engineering experience from co-op, internship, or early-career project work
  • •Willingness to travel to sites across northern British Columbia and the Yukon as needed
  • •Comfort supporting field and office work and using data (logs, lab results, monitoring records) to support practical recommendations
