Job Summary

Join the Ground Investigation team as a Trainee/Assistant Engineering Geologist, supporting delivery of UK infrastructure projects. You’ll help senior engineers with site supervision, safety management, on-site briefings, and fieldwork such as trial pitting, borehole drilling, coring, in-situ testing, sampling, and groundwater/ground gas monitoring. You’ll log rocks and soils to BS5930 and assist with reports, working across Leeds or Swindon with frequent UK travel and occasional nights/weekends.

•Log rocks and soils in accordance with BS5930.
•Assist with the preparation of reports and factual deliverables.

•Knowledge of BS5930 for soil/rock logging; experience with geotechnical log production software (e.g., OpenGround, gINT, Holebase) is expected, alongside MS Office use and relevant H&S qualifications (PTS/CSCS or similar).
