Job Summary

Journeyperson Scaffolders are needed for offshore Newfoundland and Labrador operations on an as-needed, call-out basis. You will plan, erect, maintain and repair scaffold structures, work at heights in demanding offshore environments, and follow strict safety and certification requirements while collaborating with the Operations team.

Key Responsibilities

•Plan, erect, build, maintain and repair temporary work structures and platforms to provide workers with safe and secure access to the job face.
•Construct, fabricating, erecting and repairing permanent and temporary structures on the worksite by using power tools, rigging equipment, and hand tools.
•Plan and execute scaffolding activities in accordance with drawings and specifications, while working at heights and in noisy conditions.
•Follow site rules and customer requirements; pass site-specific medical, drug and alcohol testing as required.
•Collaborate with scaffold users, supervisors and other tradespersons to determine scaffold requirements, potential loads, occupants and usage

Key Requirements

•Completed 3 periods (minimum 1600hrs) of relevant on the job experience, accompanied by Journeyperson training credentials from a Canadian Accredited Training Institution, OR provides evidence of sufficient knowledge and experience to be deemed a Journeyperson
•Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the trade
•The ability to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
•Worked as part of a team and ability to take directions
•Demonstrate competence in the Scaffolding trade
