Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as Hydraulics Lead on a range of building projects with multidisciplinary engineering teams and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
  • •Lead the delivery of hydraulic designs and calculations, including technical reviews and sign-off, and delegate tasks to support other engineers.
  • •Work directly with clients and project stakeholders to understand requirements, drivers, and constraints and provide practical hydraulic solutions.
  • •Support the wider national Hydraulics team across projects and sectors and contribute to delivery of complex building work.
  • •Deliver hydraulic design services including rainwater harvesting, sanitary plumbing and drainage, trade waste, water reticulation, hot/warm water systems, and specialist water systems such as reverse osmosis and demineralised water.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years’ experience in hydraulic engineering within a consulting environment, with knowledge of Australian Standards, codes, and industry requirements.
  • •Relevant engineering degree or TAFE qualification, with RPEQ/RPEV registration or the ability to obtain it.
  • •Strong written and verbal communication skills to build relationships and communicate with clients, project teams, and stakeholders.
  • •Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, and experience with relevant industry software (Revit preferred).
  • •Australian Citizenship, or being on the pathway to Australian Citizenship, is highly preferred for some project requirements.
