Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, implement, and maintain the QA/QC Plan for MEP systems in line with specifications, contract requirements, and applicable standards.
  • •Review and approve MEP submittals, shop drawings, method statements, material approvals, and technical documentation.
  • •Conduct quality audits and inspections for electrical and mechanical installations; prepare QA/QC reports and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) with corrective/preventive action plans.
  • •Oversee inspection and testing (including commissioning support) for electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, earthing, low-voltage, generators, switchgear) and mechanical systems (HVAC, chilled water, plumbing/drainage, firefighting, pumps, ductwork, piping).
  • •Maintain QA/QC documentation, provide updates to the Project Manager on quality performance and NCR status, and coordinate closure of punch-list/quality observations with site teams and stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • •2 to 5 years of experience in QA/QC for electrical and/or mechanical systems, including at least 2 years in a QA/QC engineer or supervisory role.
  • •Experience in large-scale construction projects for electrical installations and/or mechanical installations (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, piping, pumps).
  • •In-depth knowledge of Electrical/Mechanical installation standards, testing methods, commissioning procedures, and applicable codes (IEC, NEC, BS, ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA).
  • •Hands-on QA/QC skills including inspections/testing, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and QA/QC documentation (ITPs, method statements, reports).
