Job Summary

Own the Engineering Change Request/Engineering Change Order process for assigned product families, from initial problem documentation through implementation and execution. Coordinate across engineering, design, and Operations to launch, release, approve, and route ECO/ECRs. Review bill of material completeness and impacts, estimate manufacturing costs and time standards using DFx, analyze root causes with failure analysis, and coach ECO participants to drive continuous improvement and KPI development.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and manage the Engineering Change Request process through implementation for assigned groups/product families.
•Interface with engineering functions to coordinate release of product improvements and new products, and to issue/approve engineering change requests.
•Review ECOs for completeness (including bill of material structure) and assess customer, organizational, and functional product impacts.
•Estimate manufacturing costs and time standards, and recommend tooling and process requirements using DFx principles to improve quality and reduce cost.
•Determine root cause and corrective action for assembly/test issues, provide failure analysis reports, and coordinate ECO participant inclusion via the Change Implementation Board and Change Control Board.

Key Requirements

•B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial engineering.
•5 to 8 years of experience in engineering change activities for manufacturing/product lines.

•Experience using PLM/PDM tools such as Team Center Engineering and SAP, plus engineering software like AutoCAD and UGNX.
•Ability to apply DFx and lean principles, assess root causes, and support failure analysis and corrective/continuous improvement actions.
