Key Responsibilities

  • •Optimize machine learning models by profiling, bottleneck analysis, and mapping workloads to GPU architectures.
  • •Analyze compute and memory requirements of emerging models and optimize training/inference across hardware platforms.
  • •Perform optimization at kernel, framework, and hardware levels, including deep learning and transformer workloads plus physics-based simulation models.
  • •Profile and analyze workloads on current hardware, identify performance bottlenecks, and develop efficiency/scalability strategies.
  • •Collaborate across teams and stakeholders to explain performance bottlenecks and proposed solutions, and deliver maintainable production code and documentation.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: EUR 57,750 - 82,500 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree, PhD, or equivalent practical experience in relevant fields such as Computer Science, Computational Science, Applied Mathematics, Cheminformatics, or Bioinformatics.
  • •Relevant experience developing and delivering machine learning, simulation, or high-performance computing solutions, including building ML/simulation applications and pipelines.
  • •Strong understanding of deep learning architectures, including transformers, diffusion models, and language models.
  • •Proficiency in Python and familiarity with C++ in production environments; experience with PyTorch (JAX is beneficial).
  • •Experience optimizing GPU workloads with tools and backends such as ROCm/CUDA, HIP/CUDA/OpenCL, PyTorch Profiler, rocprof, and performance/compilation frameworks like Inductor or TensorRT.
