Job Summary

Build and operate a framework for reliable, sustainable Applied AI solution delivery across Mistral- and customer-hosted accounts. As a founding engineer of the Applied AI SRE sub-team, you’ll define fleet-wide reliability practices (runbooks, SLO templates, observability), run Tier-1 customer environments with on-call/incident response, and enable secure deployment with automation, security baselines, and supply-chain integrity controls.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and build a framework for a fleet of Mistral platforms and apps, including runbooks, SLO templates, and observability to improve reliability.
•Operate Tier-1 customer environments by ensuring SLO compliance, owning on-call/incident response, managing drift, and partnering with Technical Support as L3 escalation.
•Enable secure, automated deployment at scale by engineering on-demand provisioning, authoring security baseline packages, and embedding security guardrails.
•Own security operations for customer-side deployments, including leading CVE response, shipping supply-chain integrity controls (SBOM, signed images, provenance), and enforcing secure-config baselines.
•Deliver end-to-end reliability across both Mistral-hosted and customer-hosted accounts, scaling operational excellence uniformly.

Key Requirements

•5+ years in SRE, Production Engineering, or DevOps with a record of shipping tooling.
•Strong multi-tenant Kubernetes fluency including namespace segmentation, network policy, RBAC, and admission control.
•On-call discipline with incident response and a blameless post-mortem, runbook-first mindset.
•Production observability experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Loki, Tempo, and Signoz.
•Infrastructure as code skills with Terraform and Ansible, plus tooling automation in Python and/or Golang.
