Key Responsibilities

•Support the Director of Risk in implementing and managing risk programs for the BFS Entity focusing on market, product, counterparty, margin, collateral, and liquidity risks arising from spot and derivatives activities
•Provide independent monitoring of risk exposures and escalate breaches of approved limits with emphasis on trading-related risks
•Review and validate risk models and exposure metrics across derivatives products and trading strategies, challenging calculations and assumptions
•Define and review margin methodologies and assess margin/collateral practices including initial/maintenance margin and haircuts
•Define counterparty risk framework and monitor exposures across spot and derivatives books

Key Requirements

•5+ years in financial risk management, ideally in a second line of defense; direct derivatives/market risk experience essential
•Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret data, test and challenge risk metrics and product outputs
•Good understanding of MiFID derivatives framework and prudential expectations for investment firms with derivatives
•Knowledge of balance sheet components and drivers of income including capital, liquidity, and P&L implications of leveraged derivatives
•Ability to operate independently in ambiguity and communicate insights to senior stakeholders
