Key Responsibilities

  • •Work within multi-discipline project teams to develop drawings and specification documents for issuance to architects, contractors, and building owners.
  • •Lead electrical design for transportation-related facilities, including transit stations, tunnels, underground structures, and roadway/highway facilities.
  • •Design and coordinate electrical systems such as power distribution, lighting and controls, grounding and bonding, fire alarm and life-safety, and low-voltage systems.
  • •Prepare and/or review electrical calculations (loads, voltage drop, equipment sizing, grounding potentials, short circuit studies, protective coordination, arc flash, one-line diagrams, protective relaying, lighting calculations).
  • •Perform construction phase services including reviewing RFIs and shop drawings, managing submittals and field visits, coordinating with contractors, and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • •7 to 10 years of relevant post-education experience as an electrical engineer providing design deliverables for capital projects in building facilities and/or transportation.
  • •Professional Engineer (PE) license (highly preferred).
  • •Proficiency in electrical engineering principles, practices, and design/build work, including permitting and project-related issues.
  • •Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work independently and provide guidance to junior team members.
