Job Summary

Senior Technical Director in environmental planning and assessment leading multi-disciplinary teams on UK water infrastructure projects. Collaborate with clients, regulators and engineers to promote sustainable design, ensuring quality, safety and budget adherence while advancing innovative Environmental Impact Assessment techniques.

Key Responsibilities

•Direct and lead environmental teams and inputs to project designs and assessments.
•Lead large, multiple, and complex projects with oversight of technical, quality, commercial, and health & safety performance.
•Oversee recruitment, bidding, project team management, project delivery and financial management.
•Build client relationships and identify opportunities for resourcing, programming, strategy development and service delivery.
•Develop and promote innovative techniques in D-EIA and sustainable design to support business growth.

Key Requirements

•Experience leading the successful delivery of environmental assessments for major water schemes (e.g., SROs) or NSIP planning.
•Familiarity with Habitats Regulations Assessments (HRA) and Water Framework Directive (WFD) Assessments.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong report writing and attention to detail.
•Proven people management experience and a track record of developing internal teams.
•Evidence of market and water sector understanding and ability to drive business growth.
