Develop and implement complex control algorithm models for transient analysis and model-based control development, applying auto code generation to build and analyze control system models for HVAC and related equipment. Key Responsibilities

•Develop and implement complex control algorithm models for transient analysis supporting advanced control optimization, electrification and decarbonization, and HVAC/building management use cases.
•Apply model-based development concepts and auto code generation to develop and analyze control system models for HVAC equipment.
•Participate in long-term technology roadmap discussions and help build external partnerships; support execution of funded technology and new product development projects with internal and external partners.
•Collaborate with global and cross-functional teams to interpret modeling results, drive system-level optimization, and answer critical design questions through modeling outcomes.
•Lead evaluation of innovative technologies for potential commercial value and develop team competencies and skillsets in controls modeling and related algorithms.

Key Requirements

•Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field.
•8+ years in Matlab/Simulink for Model Based Development, including Auto Code Generation experience.
•Experience with software development best practices (e.g., Git) and agile methodologies, plus practical closed-loop control knowledge.
•Experience with Model In-Loop (MIL) and Hardware In-Loop (HIL) simulation.
•Programming experience is beneficial, particularly in C, C++, and Python; knowledge of advanced nonlinear control and/or intelligent control is desirable.
