Job Summary

Safely operate a ready-mix concrete mixer truck to manufacture, deliver, and unload concrete to job sites, following dispatcher/plant supervisor instructions. Handle challenging and congested delivery locations, complete delivery tickets with special instructions, and maintain required cleanliness of the vehicle and drum (including rinsing). Communicate with dispatch, collect payments and record transactions, and perform pre/post-trip inspections while complying with OSHA and USDOT/FMCSA practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Safely operate a concrete mixer truck to deliver and unload ready-mixed concrete to customer/job-site specifications.
•Follow dispatch instructions, communicate with the dispatcher/plant supervisor, and complete delivery tickets with special instructions.
•Maintain a clean and orderly work area and keep the truck/drum clean, including rinsing before and after deliveries.
•Operate in compliance with OSHA and USDOT/FMCSA safe-operating practices, using PPE as directed.
•Collect money from customers, record transactions, and respond to basic customer questions related to product/concrete instructions.

Key Requirements

•Maintain a valid minimum Class B CDL or complete training and pass the CDL exam to obtain licensure.
•Acquire and maintain a valid DOT medical card and a state issued commercial driver license.
•Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or repair issues.
•Read and interpret safety rules and operating/maintenance instructions, and write details on delivery tickets.
•Operate safely and efficiently while complying with OSHA and USDOT/FMCSA practices, using required PPE.
