Key Responsibilities

  • •Represent Lumen at the federal level for national security, emergency preparedness, critical infrastructure protection, cyber resilience, and continuity-of-operations planning and response.
  • •Serve as the primary senior liaison to federal stakeholders including DHS/CISA, DoD, Intelligence Community, and White House stakeholders, supporting CEO/senior leadership engagement with relevant advisory activities.
  • •Provide executive oversight for cleared programs, classified environments, personnel security, facility clearances, and program accreditation processes.
  • •Ensure alignment with federal security requirements and frameworks including NISPOM, ICDs, CMMC, and DoD IL5/IL6 readiness expectations.
  • •Coordinate internal stakeholders to maintain one integrated federal security posture and support federal business growth by shaping opportunities and capture strategy.

Key Requirements

  • •15+ years of experience across communications, technology, national security, public sector, or critical infrastructure, ideally including network operations, cybersecurity, regulatory, or government relations.
  • •5+ years of increasing responsibility in national security, emergency preparedness, critical infrastructure protection, cybersecurity, cleared programs, or a related field.
  • •Deep experience working with U.S. Federal Government stakeholders, including DoD, Intelligence Community, DHS/CISA, or national security agencies.
  • •Proven ability to operate at executive level across government and industry, influence policy/regulatory outcomes, and build consensus among divergent stakeholders.
  • •Strong understanding of federal acquisition and contracting plus security clearance and classified environment requirements.
