Job Summary

Manage fire engineering services across projects of all scales, from developing code-compliant fire strategies through concept to construction. Prepare fee proposals and support iCRC scope of works and UK bids, lead Fire Risk Assessments and site audits where needed, and collaborate with UK and internal design teams. Review technical work, specify fire safety systems (fire alarm/detection, suppression, firefighting facilities), and help organize qualitative design reviews while occasionally visiting client and office sites.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage fire engineering services on projects of all scales.
•Develop fire strategies for stations and associated ancillary buildings from concept stage to construction, delivering code-compliant fire engineering designs.
•Conduct Fire Risk Assessments for compliance with relevant fire safety codes, and perform site audits when necessary.
•Prepare fee proposals and support iCRC scope of works and UK bids.
•Design and specify fire safety systems (fire alarm/detection, fire suppression, and facilities for firefighter intervention) and peer review technical work; organize qualitative design reviews.

Key Requirements

•BEng/BSc/MEng in Electrical/Mechanical/Fire Engineering.
•Working towards professional qualifications such as IEng or CEng status with CIBSE/IET/IFE.
•Minimum 12 years of experience in fire engineering work related to buildings.
•Strong fire engineering knowledge across fire safety, fire fighting, fire detection, fire suppression, risk assessment, and fire alarm systems.
•Experience developing code-compliant fire engineering designs and conducting Fire Risk Assessments and/or site audits.
