Key Responsibilities

  • •Undertake numerical analysis using computer-based programmes to support potable, surface, and wastewater systems studies.
  • •Conduct technical and feasibility studies to assess alternative solutions and related calculations for water system requirements.
  • •Perform structural analysis and design including determining design situations and load cases using analysis software.
  • •Produce designs for water infrastructure (e.g., pump systems and pipe networks) and create documentation such as a Designer’s Risk Assessment.
  • •Work with team members on technical work, site work, and project management, including site visits to understand implementation.

Key Requirements

  • •BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering with a 2:1 classification (or equivalent).
  • •MEng in Civil, Structural, or Water Engineering related MSc (civils) would be an advantage.

  • •Basic computer skills (Word/Excel) and good report writing skills are essential/beneficial.
  • •Willing and able to work towards professional qualifications such as ICE & CIWEM; demonstrable interest in water projects.
