Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead or support environmental planning and compliance efforts for transmission and energy infrastructure projects, coordinating filings with state utility regulatory agencies to support siting, routing, permitting, and certificate approvals.
  • •Prepare technical studies and NEPA documentation for transmission siting and permitting processes across Midwest jurisdictions (MISO, PJM, SPP).
  • •Manage early-stage due diligence for siting energy projects and associated infrastructure.
  • •Provide project management on small to mid-sized projects, including schedules, budgets, invoicing, and coordination with clients, technical staff, and subconsultants.
  • •Contribute as a seller-doer to client relationship development, proposals/cost estimates, and mentoring of junior and mid-level staff through work review and technical guidance.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in environmental planning, environmental science, geography, natural resources, engineering, or a related field.
  • •4 years of relevant experience (or demonstrated equivalency) in electric transmission and renewable energy supporting state utility permitting applications, routing/siting analysis, land use entitlements, and/or resource technical studies and permitting.
  • •Ability to travel for agency/client meetings, as needed.
  • •Valid U.S. Driver's license is required for this role.
  • •U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of this work.
