Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise and control detainee behavior during detention facility operations; restrain detainees by force if necessary using handcuffs and other approved restraints.
  • •Communicate effectively with detainees and staff using approved facility communication devices (telephone, intercom, portable radios).
  • •Perform searches of detainees, vehicles, mail items, and facility areas to detect and prevent contraband.
  • •Maintain uninterrupted custody care and control, document detainee location, secure outer perimeter/main gate/lobby areas, and observe/control visitors.
  • •Transport detainees securely using ICE-approved restraints and vehicles to off-site locations; provide admission and release services and prepare reports/documentation.

Salary: USD 17.72 - 35.97 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • •Minimum 1 year experience interacting with the public.
  • •Be at least 21 years of age.
  • •Valid New York State (NYS) pistol permit and NYS Armed Guard Card.
  • •Minimum Class C CDL (Class B preferred) and ability to pass extensive background investigation and drug testing.
