Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and execute engineering activities for hot gas path (HGP) stator components, acting as technical focal point and SME for design, analysis, qualification, durability, and fleet support.
  • •Lead or coordinate technical workstreams in strategic projects, including component technology development, product growth, repair development, and fleet modernization, supporting rotor activities when required.
  • •Evaluate product designs, identify risks, assess component life, and support technical decision-making to improve reliability, durability, manufacturability, serviceability, and cost competitiveness.
  • •Support component qualification and certification activities, including test planning, technical assessments, interpretation of results, certification documentation, and participation in gate reviews.
  • •Provide technical support for non-conformance investigations, root cause analyses, corrective actions, and field issue resolution, ensuring risk mitigation and effective recommendations.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) with rich experience in gas turbine hot gas path (HGP) stator components.
  • •Experience with engineering analysis methods, including finite element analysis (FEA), structural assessment, lifing methodologies, and interpreting engineering drawings/specifications.
  • •Strong technical knowledge of hot gas path stator components (e.g., nozzles, shrouds, compressor vanes, casings) and gas turbine thermal-mechanical loading, materials, coatings, creep, fatigue, oxidation, and durability.
  • •Analytical and problem-solving skills to develop practical solutions for complex engineering challenges and coordinate multiple projects.
  • •Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills to communicate technical findings and lead technical discussions with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
