Job Summary

Join WSP’s Occupational Hygiene and Safety team to conduct on-site assessments and monitoring for hazardous materials (asbestos, mold, lead, PCB) across public and private clients. You’ll perform field surveys (90% fieldwork), collect samples, prepare reports, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in Alberta and Western/Northern Canada, with growth and training opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

•Apply technical knowledge of methods, regulations, equipment, and procedures to field assessments.
•Make routine and non-routine decisions with guidance from the Project Manager.
•Support projects by preparing and calibrating sampling equipment and identifying site issues with recommended corrective actions.
•Conduct occupational hygiene and hazardous material assessments (asbestos, mold, lead, PCB).
•Collect samples, interpret data, and prepare clear, accurate reports.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Diploma or certificate in Environmental Technology, Occupational Hygiene, or a related field (Secondary Education is an asset).
•Experience or familiarity with occupational hygiene or hazardous materials (asbestos, lead, mold, silica) is preferred.
•Valid Class 5 driver’s license (unrestricted) and access to a reliable vehicle.
•Proficiency with MS Office and strong written/verbal communication.
•Ability to wear PPE and work in field environments across diverse sites.
