Key Responsibilities

  • •Improve the open-source ML ecosystem and contribute to existing libraries such as Transformers, Datasets, PyTorch and vLLM
  • •Engage with users and contributors across GitHub, forums and Slack to gather feedback and guide feature work
  • •Collaborate with researchers, ML practitioners, and data scientists to ship impactful tooling and examples
  • •Foster an active, inclusive community around the project and help users contribute
  • •Review and merge open-source contributions, maintain high code quality and documentation

Key Requirements

  • •Strong Python skills with clean, well-tested library code
  • •Deep hands-on experience with a modern DL framework, especially PyTorch (JAX or TensorFlow a plus)
  • •Practical experience with Hugging Face stack (Transformers, Datasets, Accelerate) or comparable ML libraries
  • •Public track record of open-source contributions on GitHub
  • •Solid understanding of modern ML/DL, including transformer architectures
