Job Summary

Support Visa’s Global Finance Shared Service ATR team by handling accounting operations, including month-end close activities, financial transaction analysis, and complex account reconciliations. Research and document technical accounting issues using US GAAP, own components of the consolidated balance sheet and income statement, and perform flux analysis. Maintain accounting operational procedures with SOX 404 compliance, partner with stakeholders to resolve queries, and contribute to special and ad-hoc projects to mitigate risks and resolve audit issues.

Key Responsibilities

•Analyze, interpret, and record financial transactions and reporting information.
•Proactively research and document conclusions on accounting issues using US GAAP references and company policy judgments.
•Take ownership for consolidated balance sheet and income statement components, reviewing and confirming balances during month-end close and performing flux analysis.
•Complete complex account reconciliations and journal entries supporting the monthly close process.
•Establish and maintain accounting operational procedures, ensuring SOX 404 compliance, and partner with stakeholders and auditors to resolve queries and issues.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 3 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or at least 1 year with an advanced accounting degree (CA/CPA/CMA).
•Knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS and statutory requirements.
•Proficiency with Oracle (or similar enterprise accounting system) and Excel for data analysis.
•Experience conducting technical accounting research and documenting conclusions with appropriate references to accounting guidance.
•Strong customer service, communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
