Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure compliance with the Health, Safety, and Reclamation Code for Mines in British Columbia and applicable environmental permits.
  • •Participate in and promote a safety-first culture within the Environmental Department and across site operations.
  • •Assist with environmental monitoring programs including surface water, groundwater, and reclamation activities.
  • •Support management of hydrometric stations, water treatment systems, and field instrumentation.
  • •Compile, analyze, and interpret environmental data to support permit compliance and operational decision-making.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, Geological or Mining Engineering, or a related discipline
  • •Registered or eligible for registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC)
  • •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • •Effective communication and technical writing skills; proficient with Microsoft Office; GIS, AutoCAD, or database tools is an asset
  • •Valid Canadian driver’s license and ability to work in a field environment as required
