Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the Snowflake warehouse and the dbt project (raw, transformation, and warehouse layers), including model contracts, semantic definitions, and data tests.
  • •Own daily ingestion from ~25 sources using dlt and Dagster, including assets, schedules, sensors, and freshness checks.
  • •Run AWS infrastructure defined in CDK (Step Functions, Lambda, S3, Athena, Iceberg) with lineage and monitoring.
  • •Lead observability in Datadog with dashboards/monitors defined as code, Snowflake cost and usage visibility, and alerting.
  • •Keep pipelines healthy by diagnosing failures confidently and preventing repeat issues, while using AI tools to improve workflow.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong SQL and hands-on production experience with a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake ideally, BigQuery or Redshift acceptable).
  • •Solid dbt experience including incremental models, tests, and macros, with experience structuring a project as it grows.
  • •Confident Python for production ingestion, orchestration, and service code.
  • •Experience with an orchestration tool (Dagster, Airflow, Prefect, etc.) including retries, backfills, freshness, and operations.
  • •Infrastructure-as-code and cloud fundamentals on AWS (CDK or Terraform ideal), plus instrumentation and web tracking with Segment experience.
