Job Summary

Supervise a team of hourly associates in Carvana’s Inspection Center for the cosmetic/paint reconditioning process. Lead safe movement of vehicles for repairs, drive daily/weekly/monthly production and quality goals, and oversee day-to-day performance, coaching, and conflict resolution. Review incoming inventory defects, train associates on Quality Control standards, and coordinate with the Inspection Center General Manager to repair or reject vehicles based on repair cost and overall vehicle quality.

Key Responsibilities

•Directly manage and develop a team of hourly associates to achieve production and quality targets in the Inspection Center.
•Manage the safe movement of cars into and out of the Inspection Center while meeting daily, weekly, and monthly inventory production goals.
•Oversee day-to-day team activities by identifying strengths/weaknesses, setting improvement steps, and providing coaching, development, and performance management.
•Monitor adherence to systems, policies, procedures, and performance standards; review and approve mechanical and physical defects of incoming inventory.
•Train associates using Quality Control standards and partner with the Inspection Center General Manager to repair or reject inventory based on estimated repair cost and overall vehicle quality.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED equivalent.
•Experience using computers.
•Must be at least 18 years of age.
•Demonstrated functional expertise in one or more areas of Carvana’s reconditioning process, with understanding of reconditioning processes and lean principles.
•Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; able to lift up to 60 pounds and work in a shop environment with safety equipment.
