Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections, including follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, air conditioning systems, diesel steering systems, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions; identify problems and generate and evaluate alternatives using sound judgment.
  • •Manage parts inventory and equipment on a company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation and obtaining parts from approved vendors.
  • •Complete DOT forms and Repair Orders by documenting work performed and findings using company standards, iOS device, and the TRAIT application; comply with OSHA/EPA/DOT safety and environmental policies.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience in a related field (acceptable alternative combinations include 3 years’ experience with additional certification/degree).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Current and valid DOT medical card with more than four months remaining, or be able to complete and pass a DOT physical prior to employment.
  • •Required certifications/obtain within 18 months: ASE T8 (PMI) and ASE 608/609.
  • •Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain Driver Qualification File; must be at least 21 years or older.
