Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the lifecycle, prioritization, and execution of the smart home energy management roadmap as the single-threaded technical product owner.
  • •Develop customer insights and energy data mastery to understand how customers consume energy and translate usage patterns and telemetry into optimization strategies.
  • •Create and sequence a multi-year technical product roadmap to evolve Vivint into a proactive residential energy hub.
  • •Bridge hardware and software integration from initial data modeling through over-the-air (OTA) feature deployment, enabling smart home and grid orchestration.
  • •Influence matrixed peer teams and communicate roadmap milestones and energy savings analytics to executive leadership as a senior individual contributor.

Key Requirements

  • •6–8+ years of technical product management experience shipping consumer-facing software features, smart home solutions, or energy-adjacent platforms at scale.
  • •Demonstrated ability to use advanced analytics to understand consumption behaviors and identify opportunities for automatic energy conservation and grid integration.
  • •Comfort working across hardware constraints/firmware and software systems, including cloud APIs, data pipelines, and distributed energy resource management software (DERMS).
  • •Proven success partnering daily with engineering and industrial design to deliver high-quality customer experiences.
  • •B.S. or M.S. in a technical field (or equivalent practical technical experience).
