Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the Galway team, supporting cost management across projects from inception to completion. You’ll assist in cost estimates, cost plans, tender documentation, and financial reporting, while maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders and contributing to effective cost management throughout all project stages.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist in the delivery of Cost Management commissions, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and to a high standard.
•Support senior team members in the preparation of cost estimates, cost plans, tender documentation, and financial reporting.
•Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
•Contribute to the effective management of project costs throughout all project stages.
•Collaborate with Senior Surveyors, Associates, and wider project teams to ensure efficient delivery of services.

Key Requirements

•Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management.
•Professionally Qualified or working towards Chartered Status with the SCSI / RICS.
•3–5 years’ proven experience in a consultancy environment providing a range of Cost Management services, including Pre-Contract Estimating, Procurement, Cost Reporting, and Final Account preparation.
•Strong understanding of construction costs, procurement processes, and contract administration.
•Knowledge of Public Works Contracts and RIAI standard forms of contract.
