Job Summary

Architect, build, and operate backend and platform systems powering Addepar's AI Platform. Collaborate across service design, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability to deliver reliable, scalable, secure AI-driven experiences. Lead end-to-end platform capabilities with a strong emphasis on production code, architectural tradeoffs, and operational ownership.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, build, and operate backend services and infrastructure that power AI Platform products.
•Write high-quality production code for platform and service layers with emphasis on maintainability, reliability, and performance.
•Architect and evolve distributed systems that support AI Platform capabilities such as real-time interactions, asynchronous processing, and secure data workflows.
•Build and extend cloud-native infrastructure across core services, networking, storage, identity, and observability layers.
•Design and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, including reusable modules, environment management, and drift-safe workflows.

Key Requirements

•8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant backend/infrastructure/platform oriented work.
•Strong proficiency in at least one production backend language (Python, Go, or Java) and ability to work across a polyglot environment.
•Deep hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure in production environments and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform).
•Experience with Kubernetes/EKS, Docker, and modern deployment practices.
•Strong software engineering fundamentals (system design, debugging, testing, operational ownership).
