Key Responsibilities

  • •Run the performance engineering lifecycle end-to-end, including requirement gathering, design, scripting, execution, analysis, troubleshooting, tuning, and reporting.
  • •Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to design for performance and define NFRs for features and components within sprint backlogs.
  • •Develop test strategy and testing goals using non-functional requirements, workload models, and data/user-pattern analysis.
  • •Partner with feature teams and observability/SRE/platform teams to review performance improvements, improve visibility, diagnose bottlenecks, and resolve issues.
  • •Assess and improve testability by building it into architecture and supporting continuous performance testing practices using load testing and APM tools.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering.
  • •5+ years of performance engineering experience, including testing, profiling and tuning, for mission-critical, highly available applications.
  • •3+ years leading performance engineering practice for a suite of products including big data, data warehouse, BI and real-time streaming applications.
  • •Expertise in data lake and data warehouse technologies with performance analysis and tuning of data engines.
  • •Proficiency using load testing and observability tools (e.g., APM/code profilers) and building workload models for complex systems.
