Key Responsibilities

  • •Grade and sort incoming metal products by appearance and quality to ensure correct processing and usage.
  • •Perform general yard cleanup and maintenance tasks, including digging, sweeping, weed and brush maintenance, and blacktop repaid.
  • •Perform basic sorting of scrap and metal/debris in preparation for processing.
  • •Grease and provide general cleanup at the shear and/or shredder.
  • •Assist with repairs and maintenance as required at the railroad and report equipment deficiencies or malfunctions to the proper supervisor.
