Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and grow the Billing team: run 1:1s, performance management, career development, onboarding, and onboarding durable knowledge ownership.
  • •Own the Billing roadmap and delivery execution in Linear, balancing new pricing/product capabilities with correctness, resilience, supportability, and technical debt.
  • •Manage workflow intake and Slack triage by deciding routing, prioritization, sequencing, or backlogs.
  • •Serve as Incident Commander: coordinate resolution, assess customer impact, and lead blameless post-incident reviews.
  • •Own hiring plans with Talent Acquisition: interview, close candidates, and contribute to org design and engineering leadership evolution.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of engineering background with enough depth to be credible with engineers building complex systems.
  • •3+ years managing remote engineering teams, including globally distributed asynchronous work.
  • •Experience managing a billing engineering team at a cloud, SaaS, or developer tools company; developer tools or databases preferred.
  • •Comfort with ambiguity and ability to build structure, communicate clearly in writing, and surface risks early.
  • •Technical enough to lead architecture and design discussions while focusing on people management, coaching, and feedback culture.
