Job Summary

Work as a Systems Engineer on Submarine Combat System development within the Projects Integrated Project Team. You’ll design and implement integration solutions, lead product verification and validation, and produce certification documentation aligned to specifications. Support transition into service, perform technical risk analysis, and run major project reviews. Collaborate with stakeholders and mentor junior engineers while introducing new technology to Australia’s submarine fleet.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, develop, and implement product solutions for integration into the Combat System.
•Lead product verification and validation activities to ensure alignment with design specifications.
•Generate and maintain product design certification documentation aligned with system product specifications.
•Provide engineering support to transition products into service and conduct technical risk analysis.
•Run major project reviews across the lifecycle (peer, preliminary/detailed design, and test readiness) and mentor junior engineers.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering as a minimum.
•Minimum 2 years’ experience in Systems Engineering across areas such as requirements, design, integration, and verification (e.g., Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Communication, Software, and/or Combat/RF systems).
•Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders including client, peers, suppliers, and senior leadership.
•Knowledge of project management milestones and the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision to deliver scheduled commitments.
•Applicants must be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to Negative Vetting 1 level.
