Controls Engineer – Fuel Handling System

Own controls, instrumentation, and automation for Aalo Atomics’ Fuel Handling System, a remotely-operated machine for nuclear fuel assemblies in a sodium environment. Build and wire control cabinets and test bench panels, integrate sensors and actuators, and develop automation, sequencing, and data logging for component and full-system prototype testing. Develop encoder-based motion control strategies, implement safety interlocks and fault detection, and support on-site installation and commissioning at the reactor facility in Idaho.
