Key Responsibilities

  • •Support project management and establishment of a global ESPP and equity plan compliance program, coordinating with subject matter experts across securities, exchange control, tax, and labour law considerations.
  • •Coordinate and maintain a centralized compliance database and workflow management platform for ESPP and equity plans.
  • •Interpret and implement global legislative and regulatory changes affecting equity compensation, ensuring timely updates to compliance processes.
  • •Coordinate and execute regulatory filings related to ESPP and equity plans compliance.
  • •Provide advice and legal support on securities law matters for a publicly traded company, and support corporate governance including the preparation of the Management Information Circular.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 89,200 - 118,500 annually

Key Requirements

  • •3 to 5 years of legal experience focused on securities and corporate matters, gained in-house at a large international company, a major law firm, or both.
  • •Membership with the Barreau du Québec (or a law society in another Canadian province/territory).
  • •Highly autonomous, strongly analytical, and detail-oriented with strong project management, administrative, and organizational skills.
  • •Good writing skills and ability to foresee and assess business consequences of legal advice.
  • •Fluency in English (oral and written), with strong collaboration skills and team-oriented working style.
