Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain and improve the accuracy of the Raptor engine lumped-parameter thermofluid physics model.
  • •Conduct engine cycle analysis to guide future-state engine design and thrust upgrades.
  • •Perform anomaly resolution using the engine model and sparse instrumentation.
  • •Maintain and improve the Raptor engine representation used in integrated vehicle simulations, control software validation, and flight Monte Carlo analysis.
  • •Automate processes and tools to predict test performance and generate flight performance predictions for GNC and flight software.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a STEM discipline.
  • •1+ year experience with physics-based simulations of real dynamic systems.
  • •Demonstrable understanding of compressible/incompressible flow, thermodynamics, thermochemistry, mechanics, and materials principles.
  • •Ability to write and present effectively to team members, internal customers, and management.
  • •1+ year experience writing computer software.
