Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the implementation of high-value agreements from contract strategy through tendering, award, and delivery.
  • •Manage pre-contract and, where applicable, post-contract commercial and contractual activities to ensure best value and delivery of Iberdrola Group processes.
  • •Support tender strategy and negotiations, including contractor engagement, benchmarking, intelligence gathering, and preparation/negotiation of commercial schedules.
  • •Collaborate with stakeholders up to Director level and within procurement to develop synergies, cost reduction opportunities, and risk-aware commercial information.
  • •Provide contractual support during the post-award phase and mentor junior team members, ensuring governance compliance (including ethics and anti-bribery requirements).

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of relevant experience in a comparable commercial/procurement role.
  • •Experience in engineering and construction contracts in the UK, with a quantity surveying background desirable.
  • •Familiarity with evaluating supplier bids and managing costs and commercial contract negotiations.
  • •Experience with EPC-type contracts and familiarity with NEC3 or NEC4 engineering and construction contracts.
  • •Ideally gained, or working towards, chartership status with a relevant professional body such as RICS or CIPS.
