Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as the primary sourcing point of contact for vendor-related matters, including contract queries, commercial discussions, and issue resolution.
  • •Develop stakeholder engagements with different business units for identification, onboarding, and ongoing management of vendors.
  • •Identify and manage risks impacting delivery timelines for transactions.
  • •Ensure contract lifecycle is managed effectively and guide contract owners through end-to-end vendor onboarding and ongoing obligations.
  • •Partner with SMEs (Legal, Regulatory Compliance, Operational Risk, Security, Fraud Risk, etc.) to review merger-related vendor contracts and ensure HSBC risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven experience in transactional procurement and sourcing, ideally within financial services, including contract review supporting business change (e.g., mergers, consolidation, restructuring).
  • •Strong understanding of contract terms and commercial risk, including the ability to challenge and improve supplier positions.
  • •Demonstrated win-win negotiation capability with strong procurement governance and controls under tight timelines and limited resources.
  • •Experience managing contract lifecycle and vendor-related matters, including commercial discussions and issue resolution.
  • •Ability to partner with SMEs (e.g., Legal, Regulatory Compliance, Operational Risk, Security, Fraud Risk) to review vendor contracts and identify risks to be assessed and mitigated.
