Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair vehicle systems including electrical/brakes/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and road test defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operation.
  • •Independently manage daily schedule and parts inventory on a company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation and obtaining parts from vendors.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair orders, document findings with photos/pictures via the iOS device and TRAIT app, and ensure compliance with safety, OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience in a related field (or alternative combinations such as 3 years with additional discipline certification).
  • •Possess and supply the hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Complete a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and pass a DOT physical (or submit a current DOT medical card with more than 4 months remaining).
  • •Required certifications/obtain within 18 months: ASE T8 (PMI) and ASE 608/609.
  • •Must be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid driver’s license; maintain the Driver Qualification File.
