Ensure accurate, timely submission and follow-up of healthcare billing claims across Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurers. Review patient billing for completeness, resolve denials and billing discrepancies, and post payments and adjustments while maintaining detailed records. Serve as a compassionate point of contact for patient billing enquiries, uphold confidentiality and data protection, and stay current with healthcare billing regulations, compliance standards, and coding practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare and submit accurate billing claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurers electronically and via paper.
•Review patient billing information for accuracy and completeness, ensuring required documentation is present.
•Follow up on unpaid or outstanding claims within standard billing cycle timeframes.
•Analyse, investigate, and resolve claim denials, rejections, and billing discrepancies.
•Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts while maintaining detailed records.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 27 - 43 hourly

Key Requirements

•Proven experience as a Medical Billing Specialist or in a similar healthcare administrative role.
•Strong understanding of medical terminology, billing codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS), and revenue cycle management.
•Experience with hospice or palliative care billing is highly desirable.
•Proficiency using medical billing software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
•Exceptional attention to detail, with strong organisational and independent work skills in a remote environment.
