Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop high-quality detailed design packages, engineering procurement support, and field technical support for implemented designs.
  • •Create conceptual engineering deliverables including cost-estimating bills of material, man-hour estimates, statements of work, design criteria, and design engineering deliverables.
  • •Perform plant facility walkdowns to generate design documents and provide field support to craft personnel.
  • •Execute structural engineering work such as building evaluations and modifications, seismic analysis and rehab, steel and concrete design, and machine installations.
  • •Plan, self-perform, and/or direct engineering design team activities including scope and timeline development, design tracking, drawing generation, design reviews, coordination, and approval processes.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited school with 10+ years of experience emphasizing Structural Engineering.
  • •Ability to develop structural drawings (plans, sections, details), structural calculations, equipment anchorage, and construction specifications.
  • •Familiarity with consensus design codes and established engineering practices, theories, and principles in structural engineering.
  • •Strong verbal and written communication skills to interface effectively with clients, production/support organizations, management, and staff.
  • •Ability to obtain/maintain DOE Q clearance and be willing to work in a production environment.
