Job Summary

The Operations Partner is a contractor role responsible for the end-to-end logistics and deployment of Bird’s local fleet of e-scooters and e-bikes in Raleigh, NC. You’ll manage fleet availability, charging, and positioning, work with a flexible schedule, and scale operations with individual or multiple drivers while keeping vehicle safety and community coverage in mind.

Key Responsibilities

•Fleet Transportation: Use your vehicle(s) or fleet to collect, deploy, relocate, and retrieve e-scooters and e-bikes across Raleigh daily.
•Operational Management: Manage the end-to-end operation of your assigned portfolio, ensuring vehicles are available in high-demand areas.
•Maintenance & Quality: Perform light field checks to ensure vehicles are safe and environmentally friendly.
•Field Execution: Problem-solve in real-time to overcome obstacles, prioritize tasks, and navigate local geography efficiently.
•As an independent contractor, manage your own tools, equipment, and any associated expenses to meet Bird's operational needs.

Key Requirements

•Vehicle Access: must own or have consistent access to at least one large vehicle (van/truck) for transporting multiple scooters/bikes
•Storage Space: access to a garage, warehouse, or commercial facility with electricity for overnight charging
•License: Valid Class 5 Driver's License (or applicable commercial license) with a clean driving record
•Physical Ability: able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and stand for long periods while handling heavy equipment
•Availability: flexible schedule with willingness to operate on weekends
