Job Summary

The Networks Service Engineer will operate and enhance a multi-vendor global network across 20+ countries and 120+ sites, owning LAN/WAN/WLAN, firewall governance, and DIA connectivity. You’ll work with Fortinet, Cisco, and Meraki platforms, collaborate across time zones, and drive resilience, cost optimisation, and security in partnership with Security Operations and Cyber Security teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate, maintain, and enhance global LAN/WAN/WLAN services across 20+ countries and 120+ sites, ensuring availability, performance, and resilience.
•Administer and support perimeter and site security devices including Fortinet and Cisco firewalls, and Cisco Meraki MX appliances, in line with agreed standards and governance.
•Manage and support Meraki wireless networks (APs), including configuration templates, RF best practices, firmware strategy, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
•Provide technical ownership for DIA circuits and local ISP connectivity: ordering/ceasing, incident escalation, performance investigation, and proactive resilience improvements.
•Work with ISPs and carriers to validate routing (e.g., BGP where applicable), optimise path selection, and ensure best routing cost and service resilience.

Key Requirements

•3–7+ years’ experience in network engineering / network operations within a multi-site enterprise environment.
•Hands-on experience with enterprise platforms (Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper or Palo Alto).
•Experience troubleshooting ISP circuit issues and coordinating resolution with carriers/ISPs.
•Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
•Working knowledge of ITIL-aligned processes (Incident, Problem, Change) and experience supporting services across multiple time zones.
