Job Summary

Own messaging, positioning, and the sales narrative for a key slice of Astro, where trust is built in the AI infrastructure and orchestration layer. Translate technical capabilities into practitioner-credible content, run competitive intelligence and battlecards, enable sales with decks and objection handling, and lead social-first product launches. Work with product leadership, marketing, and sales in a small senior product marketing team, reporting to marketing leadership.

Key Responsibilities

•Create messaging architecture, category-level positioning, and feature-level guides, connecting the story across product pillars.
•Develop and maintain competitive battlecards using win/loss analysis and real deal signals to support sales wins.
•Provide sales enablement through elevator pitches, objection handling, and practitioner/economic buyer decks.
•Execute GTM for launches, defining success from early access through general availability with social-first, momentum-driven releases.
•Produce practitioner and economic buyer narrative content for skeptical data engineers and buyers like CIOs and VPs of Data/AI.

Key Requirements

•5+ years in product marketing, including at least 2 years in a technical B2B SaaS or infrastructure company.
•Ability to identify and prioritize your own work with little oversight.
•Experience marketing to both technical practitioners (data/platform engineers) and economic buyers (VP/Dir of Data, CTO).
•Experience with competitive positioning, including building battlecards and conducting win/loss analysis.
•Comfort working cross-functionally with product, sales, and demand gen; ability to influence without authority.
